Job Summary
The Make Ready Technician is responsible for making sure that returned equipment is in good working order and is checked for any damages, cleaned and prepared for the next rent. This position must also make sure the equipment yard is kept clean and rental equipment is organized and in its proper location. Assisting customers with loading and unloading equipment is essential to this positon so having a basic understanding of how to operate the equipment and load a trailer is required.
Work Environment
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- Typically, in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.
Education and Certification
HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs.
- Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
- Must speak English clearly and write legibly. Ability to speak another language is a plus.
- Must pass company drug screen.
- Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
- Must have a full range of motion and dexterity.
- Must be able to apply principles of rational thinking to solve problems.
- Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience.
