The Mechanic will perform a variety of tasks to ensure smooth branch operation. This person will service and repair rental equipment to go to the customers. He/she must have a professional demeanor and be able to provide timely service. Pro Star Rental is a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Tasks assigned to this position include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising other service techs to ensure routine services are consistently performed.
- Prepare accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Identify warranty situations before repair has begun.
- Report equipment failures and all safety violations.
- Apply professional troubleshooting techniques to equipment repair.
- Implement preventative maintenance program.
- Maintain company vehicles.
Work Environment
- Requires intermittent periods during which continued physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- Typically, in a comfortable environment, but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.
Qualifications
- General knowledge of construction equipment and associated parts is a must.
- Vocational education is preferred.
- Must be able to list approximately 70 pounds.
- Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
- Must speak English clearly and write legibly. Ability to speak another language is a plus.
- Must pass company drug screen.
